SHALOM
NEW MODEL
SAME MISSION
NEW MODEL SAME MISSION
A Personal Note From Pastor Vernon
"The world has changed over the last two years, and we've all changed with it. However, history reminds us that God's church endures and evolves time and time again to ensure the mission of Heaven remains active on the earth. With this heart, we've prayed, prepared, and are following God's voice into this next season of congregational life. We want God's people to experience the "Life and Life” more abundantly that God has promised in his word. We believe that this next step will create more space for a new life, a healthy community, and deeper discipleship. And we know we can't do it without you! So thank you for your prayers, faithfulness, and love. "Let's Go All In And Change The World."
– Vernon Gordon, Lead Pastor.

What's Next For Church At TLC?

Research has shown that loneliness is one of the greatest threats to human health today. Combined with the growing disconnect between many communities and their church. Yet, at the same time, there's an increasing desire for many Christians to grow deeper in their faith through intentional conversations, like-minded community, and space for life's questions. In scripture, "Shalom" is the last word of the priestly blessing, found in the oldest known fragment of the biblical text, Numbers 6:24-26
"The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord, make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance on you and give you shalom."
The word shalom is a beautiful word with powerful meaning. Whenever you employ the word shalom, you speak of all the beautiful things that shalom means in someone's life. In our context, we see it as an opportunity to serve and shape people's lives with greater intention and connection. We also believe this increases our evangelistic reach by cultivating atmospheres designed for the well-being of those in our community. Encouragements for this type of ecclesiology are found in passages like Jeremiah 29:7 AMP.
"Seek peace and well-being for the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf; for in its peace (well-being) you will have Shalom."
