Overview

The Life Church Is A Growing Organization Serving A Diverse Community In Richmond, Virginia. We Are Hiring An Office Manager To Support Organizational Effectiveness. The Office Manager Is Responsible For Overseeing And Implementing All Daily Administrative Operations Of The Church Office.

Additionally, The Office Manager Would Serve As Administrative Support To The Lead Pastors. The Ideal Candidate Works Well Under Pressure, Is Highly Organized And Professional, And Is Able To Deliver On Time. Because This Position Interfaces Often With The Church Staff And The Larger Church Body, A Successful Candidate Must Have A Highly Engaging And Friendly Personality, Be A Strong Communicator, And Comfortable With Leading Others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Staff With Administrative Logistics As Needed/Requested (Phone, Messages, Emails, Scheduling, Etc.)

  • Oversee Volunteer Administration Team

  • Maintain Data And Record Keeping For:

  • Attendance For Weekend And Weekday Experiences

  • Volunteer & Leader Information

  • Data (Congregation Demographics And Contact Information)

  • Partner With Facilities Coordinator To Maintain Church Needs And Inventory Management

  • Provide Staff Support/Prepare Resources For Meetings, Church-Wide Classes And Events (Including Food And Supplies As Needed)

  • Manage Church Calendar Ensuring It Is Kept Up To Date With All Events

  • Manage Church Facility Usage & Rentals For All Event Such As Weddings, Conferences, Internal/External Room Bookings Etc

  • Meet With Lead Team On A Weekly Basis To Support Operational Needs

  • Fulfill The Administrative Needs Of The Lead Pastors

  • Serve As A “Gatekeeper” For The Lead Pastor While Ensuring Everyone With An Inquiry Is Served In A Friendly Manner. (Calendar, Calls, And Correspondence)

  • Arrange Ministry-Related Travel For The Senior Pastor

  • Participate In All Staff Meetings And Retreats

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Or Equivalent Experience

  • Empathetic, Caring Communication Skills

  • A Working Knowledge Of Standard Equipment: Printers, Phone, Computer, Etc.

  • Keen Sense Of Organization

  • A Growing Christian Faith And Character

  • A Commitment To The Mission Of The Church

  • Basic Computer Skills In Microsoft Suite

  • Teachable
