Overview

A High School Diploma Or Training And Experience That Are Considered Equivalent. ServSafe Food Certification Required. Preparing Breakfast, Lunch, Morning And Afternoon Snacks. A Knowledge Of Good Dietary Practices. A Proficiency In The Preparation Of Large Quantities Of Food. Good Human Relations With The Ability To Communicate In A Courteous Manner.

A Neat Appearance. Maintains A Neat And Orderly Kitchen With The Highest Standards Of Safety And Cleanliness. Maintains The Daily Cleaning Of All Kitchen Equipment, And The Washing And Sterilizing Of All Dishes, Silverware, And Utensils. Maintain Bulletin Boards Of Students With Food Allergies.

Place Orders Of All Necessary Supplies To Approved Vendors. Complies With All Federal, State And Local Laws And Regulations For The Storage, Use And Disposal Of Trash, Rubbish, Waste And Hazardous Material [OSHA]. Complies With All Federal, State And Local Laws And Regulations For The Maintenance, Repair And Operation Of Equipment And Machines [OSHA]. Other Duties As Assigned By The Director.

Qualifications

  • Be CPR, First Aid, And Blood Borne Pathogen Certified Or Obtain Certification Upon Hire

  • Be Mentally And Physically Capable Of Caring For A Large Group Of Children Alone In A Classroom

  • Possess A Strong Work Ethic, Be Punctual, And Have Minimal Absences. A Strong Christian Faith And Willing To Teach Christian Principles In The Classroom

  • Have An Awareness Of The Unique Needs Of Young Children And Have Appropriate Expectations Of Their Abilities

  • Be Able To Kneel, Bend, Squat, Lift, Push, Pull, And Carry Children Up To 70lbs

  • Be Available For Full Time Employment And Available To Work As Early As 6:30 And As Late As 6:30 Pm

  • Have Dependable Transportation

Responsibilities And Duties:

  • Engage Children In Activities And Play That Stimulates Their Development

  • Assist Children With Activities Of Daily Life (Restroom Use,  Hand Washing)

  • Appropriately Supervise Children While Keeping Them Safe At All Times

  • Approach Parents Daily And Speak With Them About Their Children

  • Establish A Professional Level Of Rapport With Each Family In Order To Provide Quality Care And Friendly Service

  • Creating And Maintaining An Environment That Is Clean, Organized, And Safe For All Children

  • Execute Daily Plan Of  Activities Developed By Lead Teacher That Are Developmentally Appropriate For Young Children

  • Attend And Engage In Occasional Parent Participation Events And Other Events That May Be On Nights

  • Be Responsible For Daily Sheets And The Daily Activities Pertaining To Eating, Sleeping, Learning And Playing
