Pastors Vernon and Ashley Gordon have an inimitable heart for God, people, and the community at large. As leaders, they have become known not only for their passion towards the Cause of Christ, but their commitment towards seeing the local Church embody all that God has called for it to be.
Together, they planted The Life Church in July 2015 along with 40 volunteers; and with that commitment engraved on their hearts, set out on a journey to impact the culture and their city through the power of the Gospel. They were married in 2011, and have two children; Madison and Jackson.

Yes! Children’s Ministry is offered for ages 1 - 12 and is identified as “Heartbeat Kids” (HBK) Just as the heartbeat is necessary for life, The Life Church believes that children are the heartbeat of who we are and vital to life.
HBK services are available at all Sunday services at both our South Richmond (RVA) and Alexandria (DMV) campuses.

Yes! Our Teen Ministry is offered for ages 13 - 17 and is identified as “TLCYTH.” We believe this is a special place for teens to develop long-lasting relationships with their peers and grow in their walk with Christ.
TLCYTH Nights are held every Thursday at 7 PM at our South Richmond (RVA) Campus. We will be launching soon in the DMV. Stay tuned!
